The Glutton Stroke Thrombectomy Catheter is indicated for use to restore blood flow in the neurovasculature by removing thrombus for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke to reduce disability in patients with a persistent, proximal anterior circulation, large vessel occlusion of the internal carotid artery (ICA) or middle cerebral artery (MCA)-M1 segments with smaller core infarcts.
GluttonTM Stroke Thrombectomy Catheter design maximizes lumen size to increase aspiration and ingestion forces flow without increasing the catheter tip diameter. The different available sizes (from 5F to 6F diameters) permitted lesions located in proximal or distal occlusion sites to be reached, from the intracranial ICA to M2 segment. The soft and flexible design of stroke thrombectomy catheter resulted in good and safe navigation to the target occlusion. In addition, flexibility is critical in large suction catheter designs. On the one hand, while it provides a certain degree of flexibility, the skeleton of the catheter should also be strong enough to prevent the catheter from collapsing under negative pressure. Maintaining pushability at the softer distal portion of the GluttonTM stroke thrombectomy catheter is of great advantage.
Features &Advantages
1. Distal multi-segment design of gradual hardness provides a stable passability guarantee.
2. 0.072 inch ultra-large lumen has a higher aspirating efficiency.
3. Structure of coil and braid offers greater flexibility and maneuverability.
4. Distal multi-segment design of gradual hardness provides a stable passability guarantee.
5. It is constructed with a single lumen enabling easy steam shaping for improved navigation through tortuous vessel anatomy.
6. Hydrophilic coating at the distal end reduces friction during navigation to reach distal occlusion easily.
7. Proximal composite polymer segment provides excellent pushability.
