The Ultimax-i can be upgraded to the latest (SW version). Upgrading existing systems is not only cost-effective but environmentally responsible.
Energy
Significant Energy Savings
-Low Power Mode
Change the amount of fluoroscopy without compromising the pulse rate (PPS) with a single click/touch.
-Minimize fluoroscopy time
Reducing fluoroscopy time lowers energy consumption from the X-ray generation process and associated cooling system. This supports more sustainable and ecologically friendly imaging practices.
- Variable Dose Modes including Grid Pulsed Fluoroscopy
The Ultimax-i offers three variable dose modes/fluoroscopy modes – Normal, Mid and Low. These dose modes are possible across the applications, including Continuous Fluoroscopy, Pulsed Fluoroscopy, and Grid Pulsed Fluoroscopy.
-Users can select the optimal dose mode based on their patient’s needs and procedural requirements.
-Normal: 100%
-Mid: 50% of the dose.
-Low: 35% of the dose.
-Grid Pulsed Fluoroscopy lowers patient dose by reducing X-ray exposure that doesn’t contribute to the diagnostic image.
-Significant Energy Savings
Our advanced technologies support even higher image quality with lower radiation doses through the use of more efficient hardware and software solutions that require less energy.
-Super Noise Reduction Filter (SNRF)
High image quality with reduced dose can be achieved with Canon Medical Systems’ exclusive SNRF technology.
SNRF analyzes and processes each image frame in Realtime during fluoroscopy and radiography. This allows users to achieve significant noise reduction while maintaining high temporal resolution at a reduced dose.
-Digital Compensation Filter (DCF)
The Digital Compensation Filter (DCF) provides Realtime enhancement of fluoroscopic images to obtain optimum image quality under the most difficult circumstances.
-Weight/Space
Real Resource Saving
Canon’s versatile, space saving configurations support a refit of existing sites, which can generate more economical options for your clinical needs.
-System Layout Examples
The multi-purpose Ultimax-i system can be installed adjacent to walls, providing options to free-up more space for the operator and enhance ease of movement. The single console set-up further optimizes workflow and efficiency.
-Single console operation with a single generator that powers two X-ray tubes and a wall stand enhances workflow, supports faster examination times, and minimizes space requirements for streamlined efficiency.
-Versatile Performance
Flexible system configurations to meet today's challenges. X-ray, Fluoroscopy and Routine Angiography
The Ultimax-i is a versatile multipurpose system designed with a focus on safety and dose reduction that enables the user to perform a wide variety of examinations, increase room utilization and improve overall operational efficiency.

Solutions that Enhance Examinations
Ultimax-i offers the high performance and clinical versatility needed to perform many types of examinations, ranging from simple thorax imaging to routine angiography studies.
Features include flexible configurations and enhanced imaging capabilities.
-Head-to-toe coverage
With a longitudinal C-arm movement range of 64 in (163 cm) and a 17 x 17 in (43 x 43 cm) detector, the Ultimax-i can easily achieve anatomical coverage greater than 6.5 feet (2 m).
-Increased utilization
The system’s 24 in (60 cm) wide, high-capacity table and extended transverse movement range of 19 in (48 cm) allows you to accommodate a broad variety of patients for safe and comfortable imaging.
-Touch panel
Ultimax-i’s concise console with integrated touch screen enables quick and easy access to both C-arm and exposure condition settings.
-Exam room control
The in-room console is identical to the control room console.
Depending on its position in the room, orientation point can be adjusted for correct C-arm position and image display.
-Exceptional Patient Access
With the Ultimax-i, the system is repositioned, not the patient.
Once the patient is comfortably in position, Ultimax-i can operate at any orientation with integral anti-collision technology. This is an important benefit for patients, providing heightened safety and protection.
-Adjustable C-arm and table positioning to work around the patient's position.
-Enhanced patient access on all table sides.
-Provides ideal access for clinical teams during simple to complex procedures.
-Environmentally Friendly Digital Image Processing
Digital imaging systems require less maintenance than film or CR cassettes, and they are environmentally friendly.
Total examination time is shortened as images are processed and displayed instantaneously, which also reduces dose, as a result of eliminating repetitive exposures. In addition, you can edit, enhance, and archive images more quickly and easily.
-Recycling
Leading with Recycling
Canon Medical actively collects and reuses parts in new products after old products have been used and discarded. In addition, for equipment collected for reuse of parts, we follow Canon Medical Systems’ recycling operation rules for residual materials after parts are collected.
In this way, we aim to reduce the environmental impact and increase the effectiveness of recycling.

-Packaging / Logistics:
Greening Transport, Distribution and Logistics
Canon Medical is striving to reduce the CO2 emissions of product transportation through a modal shift from truck and air transportation to rail and ship transportation.
In addition, Improved efficiency in logistics reduces CO2 emissions during transit.
We are also focused on reducing the amount of packing materials used for transporting products by simplifying the packing process and decreasing the number of units for each system.
We have consistently improved our packaging efficiency while ensuring the safe delivery of products to our customers after shipment and local transportation. Introducing a new concept for equipment transportation, we have started using dedicated shipping containers, eco-friendly packaging material (biodegradable fibers, etc.) and only FSC certified wood.
